Oracle Application Lead - Warwickshire

This is a newly created role that will see you both stabilise and rationalise legacy Oracle applications and relational databases as well as helping in migrating some to Windows and Microsoft software.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*Creating a road map for dealing with all legacy Oracle applications.
*Systems and process need to be created and defined ready for the go live date.
*Support the Oracle applications making sure that they are stable and constantly available.
*Working with the ICT managers to provide expertise in the case of an outage impacting any Oracle applications as well as in regards to any interfaces between Oracle and any other solutions used.
*Work stakeholders to design and deliver solutions that fit with in the technology stack that are both sustainable and represent value for money .
*Make sure that both the architecture and tech support documents are created and developed to enable both improvements and replacements.
*Working in a fast paced environment, and have previous experience managing legacy oracle applications.
*You will be responsible for managing the Oracle database in an operational setting .
To be successful in this role you will have:
*A degree or equivalent in a ICT or Computer Science or equivalent.
*Professional qualifications in Oracle application development and / or support .
*Previous proven experience of analysing the solution landscape and working with partners etc to deliver and design solutions .
*Solid experience of Oracle and oracle applications ( various different versions are used! )
*Knowledge of Oracle databases, systems and forms as well as potentially web applications supported by an Oracle back end.
*A good understanding of other technologies and how they compliment Oracle systems.
*Knowledge of establishing and testing ICT continuity and recovery and oversee the upgrades to applications.
*The ability to work well under pressure as well as being able to think out side of the box in order to get the job done!
In return for your skills my client is offering a salary of £46000 - £50000 for the role along side a generous pension, health care, flexi time ( and the ability to work form home part of the week) 28 days annual leave raising with level of service.
Based in Warwickshire this role is easily commutable from the surrounding area, including but not limited to : Warwick, Coventry, Leamington, Birmingham, Leicester, Tamworth, Solihull etc!
