IT Finance Coordinator
Spring Technology are working in partnership with a leading organisation in Warwickshire to recruit an experience IT Finance Coordinator to ensure that IT purchasing remains compliant within organisational standards and that there is tight control of IT budgets and expenditure.

*To establish and agree with Finance and Procurement colleagues local processes and procedures for IT purchasing that fully align to organisational policy, statute and police specific requirements
*To assist IT managers with understanding and complying with acceptable purchasing routes, to ensure goods and services are necessary and represent value for money (i.e. fit for purpose at the right price), and ensure that they provide sufficient information to enable purchase orders to be raised
*To raise purchase orders, ensure that goods/services are receipted in a timely fashion when goods and services are accepted, and assist IT managers with follow up in the event of any issues with the quality etc.
*To handle any queries related to incoming invoices (for example where the value does not match the PO), liaising with IT managers and Finance colleagues to ensure prompt resolution
*To ensure that finance system is accurate in terms of IT financial record keeping (budgets, forecasts, commitments [POs], and accruals [GRNs]), and thus enables good financial control, high quality decision making, and a robust audit trail
*To develop, maintain, and reconcile any ancillary spreadsheets used for IT purposes
*To ensure that expenditure is being posted locally and centrally against the correct codes through correct use of POs.
*To review incoming financial reports for any anomalies and work with IT managers and Finance colleagues to resolve these
*To deliver a monthly analysis of expenditure against forecast for all IT budgets, highlighting areas of concern, and extract explanations for variations from IT managers
*To support the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasts by providing accurate, comprehensive and up to date information
*To assist the IT Contracts and Commercial Lead by providing assistance on major procurement exercises and information gathering/analysis related to contract rationalisation
*Experience drafting and maintaining local processes
*Experience advising senior colleagues regarding financial rules
*Experience establishing, maintaining and improving financial record keeping
*Significant experience purchasing goods and services in line with organisational rules
*Significant experience monitoring expenditure against budget forecasts
*Significant experience analysing financial information and identifying issues
*Experience contributing to budgeting and reforecasting exercises
*Experience contributing to large procurement exercises
*Excel skills to an intermediate or advanced level
*CIPS Level 3 or similar qualification desirable
